The simultaneity of all the saved

we are clay organised into consciousness;
dust that dreams, until death dismantles our dreaming;
sand sculpted, in the face of the tide.

we are the pattern not the pieces.
the components are recycled
but the assemblage is always unique.

god patterns and repatterns the cosmos
in unrepeating self-revelation.
all time is not enough
for a single self-utterance of god.

perhaps time is needed
to make such multiplicity possible
in a finite universe.
some of us have to wait our turn
until others have finished with the bits.

what size universe
for the simultaneity of all the saved?
